US GOVERNMENT DENIED CHINESE JOURNALISTS VISA RENEWAL

Ever since May this year, no Chinese journalist in the United States got his or her application for visa renewal approved as per the report coming from the Chinese ministry office. This means that all the Chinese journalists who had been in the US may have to return to China because they would not be having rights to continue staying or working in the US.

This move made by the US government has frustrated Chinese journalists but most importantly the Chinese government making the Chinese foreign ministry official Wang Wenbin to utter the following statements;

"The US on one hand is boasting freedom of journalism, on the other hand, is hindering and interfering with Chinese journalists reporting in the US,"

Even the Chinese foreign ministry released a statement below condemning US move

"hypocrisy of freedom of journalism" calling it "pure bullying" and "double standards". The Chinese foreign ministry said the US was responsible for the current situation while asserting that "China will take a necessary and legitimate response to safeguard its rights."

On the other hand, China's state-run Global Times and Global Times newspaper stated that the US journalists in Hong Kong would be kicked out of Hong Kong if the US government force the Chinese journalists to leave the United States.

As the cold war between china keeps getting more intense every day, The New York Times stated earlier that it would be moving its digital news hub as well one-third of its employees from Hong Kong to South Korea by 2121.

A few months ago when the US cut the of Chinese nationals working in Chinese state-owned media companies to 100 from 160, china responded by expelling journalists working for the Washington Post, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal from china.
A lot of reports coming from journalists as well as the Foreign correspondent Club of China stated that US journalists working in China are facing a lot of harassment, interference, and hard time while reporting from china.

The Foreign Correspondents' Club of China had said that several journalists had experienced interference or harassment while reporting in China. As you know, the US is likely to force the Chinese journalist out of the US, and China using its aggressive wolf warrior strategy will respond by expelling US journalists from china. Let us know your thoughts, what might happen if Chinese journalists are kicked out of the US?
