10 UBC EMPLOYEES TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 VIRUS

TORRID COURTS


10 employees of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation(UBC)  has tested positive for Covid-19 various as per the report coming from UBC.

A statement released by Senyanga Wilfred who is the Public Relations Officer of UBC clearly mentioned that UBC members of staff are embarking on the recommended health care management process and contact tracing has begun since the results were released.

“UBC has ten confirmed cases of Covid-19. The cases are from 332 samples that were taken on 21st August 2020 from the staff at our Kampala office for which results of 160 samples have been received,”  part of words he mentioned in the released statement attached below



A lot of media houses have recently become a hotspot for coronavirus where the virus is spreading like wildfire and causing fears to both the media and the public. 

Pacis Radio in Arua, New Vision, NBS TV, and NTV are some of the media houses that have already confirmed cases of Covid-19 among its staff members so far.

Last Sunday 23rd August, Minister for Information and communication Judith Nabakooba while addressing the press cautioned journalists to follow health guidelines when covering news scene and interviewing.
