SAMSUNG TO SHUT DOWN ITS LAST COMPUTER FACTORY IN CHINA.

Samsung Electronics Co will stop operations at one and only last running computer factory in China as stated by  the South Korean tech giant on Saturday. Samsung will be the latest manufacturer to move its production from China yet considered to be the world's second-biggest economy.

Many big Companies are rethinking their production and supply chains in china due to rising labor costs in China, a U.S.-China trade war and the blow from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The South China Morning post stated that Samsung's closure of its production in china will affect almost 9000 employees though it wont affect employees involved in research and development.


The Hong Kong newspaper said that the factory shipped  out of china goods worth $4.3 billion in 2012, but the that figure had gone down by $1 billion by 2018 however Samsung's spokeswoman refused to comment on any of the issues concerning employees or revenue.

last year 2019, Samsung closed its last smartphone factory in China however its still remaining with two semiconductor manufacturing sites in Suzhou and Xi’an.
