Long awaited features coming to WhatsApp Messenger soon

As you know WhatsApp keep releasing new features one after another always to keep its users excited and more willing to remain in the platform. It has released a lot of amazing features recently, for instance Animated Stickers, QR codes, Dark mode for web and desktop and more, the trend don't seems to stop any sooner in-order for it to keep attracting more users as well maintains its over 2 billion users.

WhatsApp this time will be releasing five more interesting features that will excite any WhatsApp user and probably its something that you have been waiting for like nothing. Here are the 5 features coming to WhatsApp very soon.

 Multi-device support.

This interesting feature will allow users to access  WhatsApp on multiple devices with a single account and its likely to be name named Linked Devices at the time of release.  WhatsApp has been working on this feature for a while so far and its expected to be sent it in with the upcoming beta release according to WABetaInfo

When this feature is rolled out, it means you will nolonger need internet connection on your phone to use Whatsapp Desktop,  you can connect more than 4 devices using a single account and whenever you recieve a message, a notification goes to all these devices. Whenever a device is removed from the network of linked devices, encryption key will change and all active chats will be notified.

personally i have been longing for something like this because im having two phones and every time i need to access my whatsapp account on the other phone it has to be disconnected from one phone.which is really annoying.

Disappearing messages feature.

This is the same kind of feature that Snapchat has got, where the message disappears after the receiver have seen or read it. It should be noted that all Facebook-owned companies including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram had copied this sort of feature from Snapchat. For instance in messenger its named "story" where someone can post a message or photo then it disappears after 24 hours.

According to WABetaInfo, messages will also disappear once the user has seen it, however the user will be having the option to determine how long it should take before the message disappears and it wont be like in Snapchat were the user doesn't have that option.

 Storage control

At the moment all the WhatsApp messages are stored in one folder in the phone memory and in case you want to delete, you have to do it once by one or delete the all folder. According to WABetaInfo, the new feature will give user more control over the storage of his or her data and perhaps all this will be sorted out in a section that will be inside the Whatsapp app.

 In-app web browser.

The company is looking to add an in-app browser to the WhatsApp application in order to allow its users to open any sent link inside the app without leaving the app. This feature might take a bit of time to come since its only under its Alpha stage of development. Once this new feature has been rolled out, it will cut down the loading time for any article or content since there will be no redirecting to another browser outside the WhatsApp app.

 Search on web

WhatsApp search on web feature has already been made available in some selected countries and we hope soon will reach more in new countries like India, Uganda etc. Its used to help in stopping the spread of misinformation on the app.

when a message or a link suspected to be misinforming has been sent, a magnifying glass icon is shown along side the message, which redirects the receiver to a web where the message can be checked and verified.
